TACC was founded in 2006 by Scotland football fans who wanted to make a difference to disadvantaged kids.
Our aim is to help disadvantaged children in Scotland and in the countries where Scotland’s national football team plays.
Tartan Army Children’s Charity is a registered Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) - Number SC038330.
We are entirely volunteer run, all money raised goes to help disadvantaged kids (aside from very minor costs).
Our funding mainly comes from the generosity of Scotland football supporters (The Tartan Army).
TACC has donated over £900,000 to worthy causes since our inception.
TACC founded the Kiltwalk fundraising initiative.
The money raised is distributed in the following ways:
1. My First Scotland Match - taking kids to see their first Scotland game
2. TACC FC - initiatives to support social inclusion and wellbeing via football
3. Overseas - supporting disadvantaged children in the countries where Scotland plays
4. Christmas Donations - making charitable donations to Scottish children's charities at Christmas
5. Grant Awards - making charitable donations to deserving causes via grant applications
