TACC Ambassadors increase awareness and knowledge of TACC and expand the reach of TACC to benefit children in more communities in Scotland and beyond. The major aspect of this role is to get the TACC message out into the communities of Scotland and to be enthusiastic.
In August 2012 the internationally renowned Scottish singer songwriter Amy MacDonald became the first TACC Ambassador. Amy commented:
“I am really delighted to become a TACC ambassador, the work they do to support disadvantaged children at home in Scotland and abroad is an inspiration and I am delighted to play my part in driving this work forward. Singing the national anthem at Hampden Park in front of 52,000 supporters is so special and that is why I was inspired to write Pride. I hope the Scotland supporters like it and I hope it conveys how much it means to me to perform Flower of Scotland in front of them. I look forward to working with TACC as an Ambassador and being part of the team”.
Since then we have recruited a number of other TACC Ambassadors who are driven to make a positive difference to the lives of children who need it most. Each of our retiring Trustees has accepted the opportunity to join our growing group of Ambassadors to continue their fantastic support for the charity.
