Derek is retired and enjoys golf & hillwalking. He also follows rugby as a spectator.

Doreen is the current Secretary of TACC. Doreen has been a long term supporter of TACC and held an Ambassador role within the charity before becoming a Trustee.
A member of the Tartan Army since the Italia 90 qualifiers, her own “My First Scotland Match”, and in fact her first football match ever, was as an away fan in the Parc des Princes. While only a few more away matches have been possible, many visits to Hampden have taken place since then.
Doreen is an Aberdonian born and bred, and happily retired after a career in the NHS.

Sam has been a long time supporter of TACC and was absolutely delighted to become a Trustee in 2015.
She has been a Scotland fan for as long as she can remember and has very fond memories of shouting at the telly, and cheering Scotland on with her mum and dad from a young age. Her first away trip was Italy in 2007 and she was bitten by the away trip bug.
Unfortunately due to work, she can't get to away games as often as she would like. Sam lives in Penicuik and works in Edinburgh for the Scottish Parliament.

Rory has followed the national team for over 25 years home and away.
He has been a supporter of TACC since cycling from Hampden to Wembley to raise funds for the charity in 2013. Since then he became an Ambassador before later becoming a Trustee.
He feels passionately about supporting disadvantaged children both at home and abroad where the national team plays.

Leah lives in Penicuik and is a stay at home mum. Leah became involved with TACC after finding out about the amazing work they do via the Kiltwalk and has been a Trustee since 2015.
Due to her own personal circumstances in having a child with exceptional needs who has experienced a lengthy stay in hospital, she has a strong passion for the rights and welfare of children and young people.

Dot fell in love with football from the age of about 4 years old and has been following the Scotland National team since her teenage years. Her first away game was in 1999. Since 2003 she has only missed a handful of games both home and away.
After becoming involved in arranging donations in the foreign countries Scotland plays for many years as a TACC Ambassador, she was delighted to become a Trustee in 2015.

Kevin has been a Trustee since 2021 , but even prior to that had attended a number of TACC overseas donations.
He has been following Scotland since the early 90’s , with his first away game being in 1994 against Greece in Athens. Since then he has travelled to many away games, as far as Mexico and Peru and also to Kazakhstan.
He is married with two grown up children and also became a grandad in 2023. He is retired and enjoys playing golf as well as pottering about with his stamp collection.

Professor John McKendrick is from the dark side. He was admitted to the Scottish FA senior list of referees in 2000 and was a Category One referee for eleven seasons.
His funniest moment as a referee was many years’ ago in Dalmellington. Craigmark Burtonians had ended the match with seven players, with four players sent off in the aftermath of one of their players being punched from an opponent from Irvine Victoria in an off-the-ball incident. It becomes clear what has happened, but as play was being followed, the off-the-ball incident was out-of-view and no action could be taken. The offending player was quickly substituted, but it all went Pete Tong for the remainder of the match. On leaving the park at the end of the match, there is a wall of noise and then it all goes quiet, which allows a conversation to be overheard between two Burtonians’ supporters. Says one to the other, “I don’t know how the referee missed it, it was right behind his back”. Priceless!
Although no longer an active referee, John continues to avoid the shops on a Saturday, catching up with old refereeing mates or spending his time cycling and orienteering. His active interest in football is now watching his two grandsons playing football in Ayrshire, and berating his youngest daughter for supporting her local team (well, it is Airdrie FC after all). When John is not thinking sport, he is Professor of Social Justice at Glasgow Caledonian University and Commissioner for Fair Access (to higher education in Scotland).

CJ has been travelling to watch Scotland games since France ’98, when she was given a whirlwind introduction to life in the Tartan Army. Scotland games have always been a family affair, with CJ originally attending with her parents and now with her husband - having met him on a Scotland trip in 2012.
Having attended some overseas TACC donations in an unofficial capacity, she is now glad to be contributing to the work of the charity - and bringing some positivity to Scotland games even when it can’t always be found in our results.
Originally from West Lothian, she now lives in Edinburgh and works as a civil servant.

Shirley, a retired Chartered Accountant, is a non-Trustee of TACC, but has been Treasurer for TACC since 2017. She ensures the Charity prepares compliant Financial Statements which accurately reflect all the activities of the charity.
Only an occasional football fan, predominantly from an armchair, but fully supportive of the enthusiasm and dedication of all the Trustees in identifying and funding less fortunate children in Scotland and appropriate children’s charities in the countries of the Scotland team’s away games across both the rest of the UK & Europe.
