In September 2016, the Community Department of Kilmarnock FC commenced a new TACC FC project, involving young people from the highest areas of deprivation in Kilmarnock being sent to Rugby Park to take part.

Some pupils from Hillhead Primary had great fun with their football training.  All the kids loved being at the club and were thriving under the watchful eyes of the coaches.  They enjoyed a healthy, hot meal each week.  The club do a fantastic job for many aspects of the community and TACC were delighted to support this project (over 3 years we donated ~£24,000).  Here's what the head teacher of one of the participating children had to say:

"I have been meaning to email personally to thank you for the wonderful opportunity you have organised for a number of my most vulnerable pupils through the Monday night football coaching and healthy eating.  It is an inspiring project with great results with several children having direct impact from the project.  One child's attendance has risen significantly because he is here every Monday and another child who had avoided PE until this project has started participating on a more regular basis. It also provides the only out of school activity/experience one of our children gets in a week due to parental mental health issues – it has made such a difference to these children and your coaches were wonderfully patient and consistent – even with the most challenging!"
