AWAY Croatia October

 

Dot and Kevin met with Mirela from the charity Firefly to donate €2000.

 

Today’s donation in Croatia was made in honour of a very good friend and supporter of TACC - Jennifer Blackwood.  Jen’s sister very kindly donated to TACC in Jen’s memory and we would like to think Jen would be extremely pleased with the choices we made for our Croatia donation.

 

Firefly Krijesnica assist parents of children being treated for cancer by having 5 apartments in Zagreb for the families which they cover the costs for. Meaning families can stay close to their child whilst going through treatment.  This donation will assist with these costs.

And mirroring our My First Scotland Match programme from back home this donation is also being used to assist with the purchase of tickets to take 9 kids and 6 parents to the game tomorrow - so they get to experience - My First Croatia Match.  TACC would like to thank Dejan MacGregor (Tartan Army Croatia) who was a great help in facilitating communication with Firefly and who was also in attendance this morning.
