Christmas 2024

 

TACC are delighted to announce that we have donated over £12,000 in total for our 2024 Christmas donations.  The money is going to 8 organisations supporting disadvantaged children in Scotland – Includem (Scotland wide), Borders Children's Charity (Borders), Special Needs Adventure Playground (East Kilbride), Seal (Dunfermline), Pilton Youth & Children's Project (Edinburgh), Lisa's Gift (Renfrewshire), Dundee Bairns (Dundee), Govan High School Enhanced Nurture Provision Unit (Glasgow).

 

Includem https://includem.org/ will use our donation to help families at Christmas with items such as toys, board games, clothes, or food hampers.  They may also include Christmas experiences (e.g. a panto) to allow families to get a break and enjoy time together.

 

Borders Children's Charity https://borderschildrenscharity.org.uk/ will use our donation to purchase everyday items such as beds, bedding, winter coats, shoes, general clothing and to fund club activities, school trips, wheelchairs etc.

 

Special Needs Adventure Playground https://www.snapplayscheme.co.uk/about_us will use our donation to support children with Additional Support Needs (in 2024 they helped 120+ children), most likely to replace/upgrade expensive sensory equipment.

 

Seal https://www.sealdunfermline.org.uk/ will use our donation to help children this Christmas who might otherwise miss out due to difficult circumstances e.g. to purchase gifts and/or help with pantomime costs.  Any surplus will be used to support summer activities for the kids.

 

Pilton Youth & Children's Project https://pycp.co.uk/ will use our donation to fund their Christmas parties with special treats and fun activities for every child and young person that attends.

 

Lisa's Gift https://lisasgift.org.uk/about/ will use our donation to offer financial assistance to pupils whose parents or guardians are not in a position to cover the cost of the multitude of activities, both school based and extra-curricular, which require a financial contribution from the home, especially at Christmas.

 

Dundee Bairns https://www.dundeebairns.org/ will use our donation to support ~25 families to ensure they have a wee boost to help them with Christmas costs at what is typically a very difficult time for many.

 

Govan High School Enhanced Nurture Provision Unit (Glasgow) will use our donation to fund a gift and Christmas activities for the kids they support.
