Children from The Spartans Community Football Academy recently attended the Scotland v Australia game at Easter Road in Edinburgh on the 15th of August as part of TACC's My First Scotland Match.
The Spartans FooTEA Club lets local primary school children from the community come along to play football & games and have a good meal.
The Spartans Youth Activities Co-ordinator Amy Henderson said - “Thanks to TACC who provided us with 3 adult and 12 children tickets for the Scotland vs Australia international game, we were able to give the opportunity for 12 young people to attend their first ever Scotland game match. The TACC gave every young person a replica Scotland shirt which made them feel proud to Scottish and a part of the nation. This experience gave the opportunity for the young people to get out of North Edinburgh, develop their social skills and strengthen relationships with academy staff. The opportunity to be proud to be Scottish and understand what teamwork can do for people which I hope they will take to their Footea club and become leaders and create a ripple effect for their peers."
