Between 2014 and 2016, TACC FC supported Aberdeen Football Club Community Trust for an after school club where Primary 6 and 7 pupils from an identified area learned personal and social responsibility through football.  Pupils interacted with positive role models from AFC and sat down at the dinner table together to enjoy a healthy home-cooked meal.

The objective of the project was to build a strong working relationship with a local Primary School and help children that would not normally get the chance.  The children received 40 weekly coaching sessions per term time at Aberdeen Sports Village with home-cooked meals provided afterwards in Pittodrie Stadium players restaurant.

Pupils had the opportunity to develop their social skills and etiquette round the dinner table, attend an AFC game as a group at Pittodrie and play on the pitch at half time at Pittodrie during an AFC SPL home match. The children taking part in the project were from Seaton Primary School, which is located within a mile of both Aberdeen Sports Village and Pittodrie Stadium, home of Aberdeen FC.

Steven (Sweeney) the coach who ran the club told us he was very grateful for TACC's support, he also added that the head teacher of Seaton Primary very supportive of the project also and came along every week to help work with the children. "The whole thing not only helps the children get along with each other as a team but also the fact that they all sit down together at a table and eat their meal and tidy up afterwards is a great learning experience for them."

TACC's total contribution over several years was over £26,000 and this included funding a breakfast club.
